This listing is for a set of 6 blank cards featuring a print of my original watercolor and gouache painting from my "Marie Antoinette Insects" series! Each painting in the series features an insect (or in this case, an arachnid) dressed in 18th century finery along and a stylish wig topped with the arachnid's favorite meal. This print features "L'Araignée Sauteuse avec un Chapeau de Pois Perdrix et une Goutte d'Eau" or "The Jumping Spider with a Hat of Partridge Peas and a Water Droplet". The jumping spider is one of the few spider varieties that adds nectar from the partridge pea wildflower into her diet of insects and bees. She is also known for fancifully wearing a water droplet on her head.

Available without text (first photo) or with text (second photo). You can select either option at checkout!

Included are 6 blank cards with 6 matching white envelopes. Each card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded. I print each card on high quality smooth inkjet cardstock with Canon Professional Archival Inks. Each set arrives packaged in a clear fine art self-sealed envelope with acid-free recycled cardboard backing.

**Please note: when writing on the inside of these cards this cardstock is not suitable for fountain, uni-ball, or felt tip style pens (they will smudge). The cardstock IS suitable for all roller ball and gel pens (most regular pens are roller ball for reference).
